Plress Association-Bv Telegraph-Copy right ■SUVA, August 24. An overeeer, Mr Ben Hall, was brutally murdered, by Indians at' Lantoka. TRAGEDY AT YOUNG. ' MURDER AND, SUICIDE. SYDNEY, August 24. A tragic occurrence if reported from Young, a. lown 256 mile? south-west of Sydney. Miss Drummond made a. call on a Mrs Lillis, a friend of hers. Edward Lillis called Miss Drummond aside, and fatally shot her. He,then blew out his own brains. Some time ago Lillis proposed to Miss Drummond and wits rejectedv Subsequently the girl became engaged to another suitor. The victims are numbers of prominent families.
