The Canterbury Farmers.' Co-operative Association held their -weekly horse sales at TattersalTs yards on Saturday and report on the market as follows:—There -■was a yarding of 39 horses of all sorts. Included in the entry were some exceptionally good farm horses which met with keen competition and sold as follows: Account Mr A. C. Kee, draught mare Pride, 4- years £4O, chestnut mare Dinah 6 years £42 10s, bay maro Bloss. 4 years £3B, mare Bess 5 years £35 10s. Account of Mr A. Hammond, a pair of light horses £42 10s. Pigs: Small entiy, porkers 31s. Produce: 300 sacks of oat sheaf chaff 3s 6d to 4s 3d. straw chaff, Is 4d to Is 6d, 500 bags good oat straw. Is to Is 3d eacks extra; oats 2s Id to 2s 4d sacks extra; chick wheat 15s 6d broken, 16s whole, screenings 8s 6d per bag. Prices, as already reported, were -well maintained. CLEARING SALE. The National Mortgage and Agency Co. of N.Z., Ltd.. associated with Messrs Guinness and LeCren, report having held a clearing side at Cricklewood on account Messrs D. and A. Mcßcath, on Friday 21st insfc. The weather was all that could be desired, and the attendance wafc large, buyers being present from all pails of Canterbury, the majority of them no doubt being drawn by the fact that McBeath's name connected with horses and sheep is a guarantee that whatever would be offered in these two classes would be of the best. This turned out to be correct, the horses especially being a splendid lot, while the sheep were well-bred and in the pink of condition. Competition throughout the entire sale was extremely keen, the result- b?ing a total clearance of everything offered.
