Then Wales \mt on three behinds and a goal. The Welshmen were noticeably quicker on the ball and kicked with great force .and accuracy. Before |he 'quarter had ended Wilking, for New- Zealand, kicked two goals, the second one coming through a clear mark and a good kick. At the first change.'of ends New Zealand had a lead of five points. Nearly all through the second quarter New Zealand were in trouble, and New .Strath Wales finished with 6 goals 6 behinds to New Zealand's 2 goals and 4 behinds.. The Inst two quarters however put a different complexion on affaire.
