The ; steamer English Monarch, 4947 tans, left New York on Thursday last, ■with a fill cargo of case oil for New Zealand ports. The vessel is due at. Lyttelton about the middle of October. The s.s. Koonva is due from Dunedm on- Saturday, when- she will load cargo for Wellington. Westport. and Greymonth. The Maoriland Steam Ship Company s steamer Ennerdale arrived at PortHuon (40 miles south of Hobart) from Melbourne, on Monday morning. The vessel is loading a cargo of hardwood, and isexpected to leave on Saturday for Lyttelton and Tfmaru. The s.s. Wanaka was expected to leave the Bluff at 4 p.m. yesterday. She will call at Oamaru and then Thnaru, arriving here on Saturday. At this port she will discharge sugar and other cargo and will load produce for Napier, Gisbome and Auckland. _ . The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's s.s. Mamari; from London, due at Lyttelton yesterday morning, is to discharge about 2000 tons of cargo there, and then go to Timaru and Dunedin. She is afterwards to return to Wellington, which is to- be her final port for London, on September 10th.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, -August 19. The schooner Waratah, from Dunedin, bound for KaipaTa, struck on Tory Shoal, but floated off with the flood tide. Some damage was done to the Tudder, and ehe is being towed in by the Hinemoa. It is- unknown what other damage the vessel sustained. DUNEDIN', August 19. The s.s\ Victoria left Port Chalmers last evening for Sydnev, via Auckland. When eh* goat outside tbe Heads a slight accident happened to her machinery. The anchors were therefore dropped, and the vessel returned to port this morning. She is expected to, continue her voyage at 6 o'clock this evening.
