U helch kno> about his challenge to him. Thoronghgood desires a reply at once, as to ha! received a challenge from Pearce but if Whelch will row the Australia champion, he will give-him the first race . Phe race is to be for £2OO aside and Thoroughgood will allow Whelch £SO for exif he loses. It would be for the championship of Australia, and would have to be rowed there. ■ .
