SKDJ SALES. The following prices were obtained at yesterday's, fortnightly skin sales:—Skins —Halfbred, 2s 3d, 3s 7d, 5s lid, 4s 2d to 4s lOd; 3-bred, 3s 5d to 5s each, 3id, 3£d, 4d to 4£d per lb; crossbred, Is, Is lOd, 2s 2d, & 4d, 2s 7d, 2s Bd,'3s, 5s 7d to 5s 6d each, 5Jd, 4d to 4£d per lb; 1 pelts, 6d. 9d ti> 10d; merino " Is lOd each, 5d per lb; lamb, Is 9d; black, 3s. CHBISTCHUBCH, August 5. Sheep.—There was a large yarding o! store sheep. There was a decline in values, and ewes suffered to the extent of folly 2s per head; hoggets were down about 6d per head; wethers showed little or no change. Fa' lambs brought late rates. Tegs sold np to 21s 3d and ordinary freezers 13s to 17s the best of the vounger lambs mad« 17s 6d to 22s 6d, and "smaller 12s to 17s. There was a very heavy yarding of fat sheep. The market was topped with a pen of show Shropshire wethers which made 46s to 50s. The general range of values was —Extra prime wethers 26s -to 40s, prime 19s 6d to 22S 6d, medium 17s to lSs, lighter 15s 6d to 16s 6d, merino wethers 12s U> 15s, extra prime ewes to 225, prime 17s 6d to 20s, medium 14s to 17s, aged and light 10er to 13s 6dd. Cattlei —Stores were mostly in low condition and met with a poor demand: Fifteen to eighteen months old 25s 6d, two year eteers to £3, two and a half year £* 2s 6d, three year £6 10s, dry cows 15s to £3 2s, dairy cows 35s to £9- In fat cattle a grand bullock brought £2O 10s, the highest price paid in the yards for a long time past.
