THEATRE ROYAL.
THE MERRYMAKERS. Many brilliant features present themselves in til© programmes by the Merrymakers, Messrs J. and N. Tait's new English company, who inaugurate a. two nights season at the Theatre Royal on Monda-' next. Many managements, from time to time, import individual artists from England and elsewhere, but it is isafe to affirm that this is tha only instance on record" where art entire combination has been toured through the Dominion. The company number eight, all of whom have won laurels oil the London comic opera and variety stages. . The very best class of vaudeville, and plenty of it, is given, and given effectively, and although the depths of low conwdy are frequently reached by the comedians, there is no suggestion of vulgarity. J. M. Campbell comes with a great reputation as a "fun maker." His imperisonationa of Harry Lauder, together with his stories of "Mulligan" and the troubles of Mr Wizzen, have convulsed Australian audiences, tlam Walsh, a ekver musical mimic and piano sketch artist, is likewise highly humourous. The box plans are now open at the Dresden, where seats may be reserved for 3s. Day sale tickets are to be had at Kingston's store.
