T.eslfe O'Callaghan and C'o. report as follows on last Saturday's Auction sale : Poultry: We had a very large entry, and the demand was exceedingly pood. Auction prices were as follows. Hens 3s, 3s 6d, 4s , 4s 6d, 4s 9d, to 5s per T>air: cockerels 4s, 4s 6d, 4s lid, to 6s 6d per, .pair: ducks 4s 6d per pair, turney hens 3s 6d. Pigs were very much in demand, and the number enliered did not. satisfy the demand. Weaners brought lis, 17s 6d to 18s 6d. Produce: On account of the; late wintry spell, the demand for produce considerably increased, and prices were fully maintained. We quote the following auction prices : ■ Wheat broken 12s 6d to 16s sacks in, wheat whole IHs to 17s sacks in. Oa's: A considerable quantity was wold at 4-Id and 2s 5d sacks extra. Oat sheaf chaff: 100 bags of prime chaff was entered, and the bulk sold at prices ranging from 3s 9d to 4s 3d, sacks in. Straw cliaff Is 3d to 1.6A per bag( sacks in. Potatoes: Good Derwen's and Up-to-Datts 7s to 815 6d per bag. Pressed straw: 140 bales sold at 10£ d. This line was slightly damaged.
