A SUCCESSFUL INVENTION.

WATSON'S TATKNT FKN'CK STAN DARD.

This fence standard consists of a strip of iron, steel or other material of a widti approximately about half the width of tin standards at present in use. This will constitute a saving of material and this strip is reinforced to a greater. degree, oi strength, than the ordinary standard by twisting it helically throughout its full length. The three main points of Urn standard are: Simplicity in construction: Economy in erection and its being stronger than any other standard on the market. Another important feawirt about the standard is owing to its screw formation, 8 inches hi the ground is equivalent to 16 inches of any other standarc now in use. Therefore, a. lit (standard constructed according to this inveiiUoli. takes the place of'a. Aft. 6i\i- ordinary 'standard, thereby' saving six inches of material. For gully fencing it has'no eiptal a* it will grip the ground and does" not require anchoring.
