The wheat market is adverse, crop reports from Russia, Britain, and the United Rfa'es having frightened buyers. Though the large, arrivals are checking a strong advance, cargoes are firm, but business quiet. South Australian March shipment. 37r>, July-August shipment 37s 6d': on spot, Australian has more inquiry at 38s 6d to 5.9s 6d. New Zealand (nominal) short, berried, 36s to 37s ;* longberried, 33s to 395. ' i'lonr is in.belter demand, hut prices are. unchanged. Butter is- in brisk demand. Danish has risen three kroner to 1225; Queensland secondaries,... 106s to 112s; lonic's New Zealand was cleared at 112s to 114s.

Cheese is quiet, but the market is steady; New Zealand while, 62s to 635; coloured, 58s.

The sugar market is dull; German lis 2d,.first, marks, 12s 9d.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. report under da.e . London, .July 16th :—'ihe frozen meat market has "a declining ;, tendency. The market for frozen, minion and lamb is ;qniec-.and any change, in prices; is.in favour of buyers. Frozen beef, prices are lower by id to $A per lb and Td is difficult tio sell even at the lower ..price.. The butter market is steady and there is no change in respect, of the demand for nnsalted.
