THE ARBITRATION COURT. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 15. The Arbitration Court concluded its sittings in this city this afternoon. To-mor-row the Court sits at Ashburton to hear the timber yard employees dispute and enforcement of cases. It will then sit at Tima.ru and deal with enforcement and compensation cases. Al the Arbitration Court this morning the President (Mr Justice Sim) delivered the judgment of the Court in the compensation case Collins v. Andrews. The judgment after setting forth the facts of the case which were, briefly, that claimant a quarry-worker employed by S. Andrews, had whilst loading a dray on January 11th, 1908, twisted his right leg at the knee, necessitating amputation, and after setting out tile medical evidence, stated that the Court was not satisfied that the slight accident of which details were given by claimant had lighted up the old trouble or materially accelerated its development. The claimant had, therefore, liled to establish his case. Respondent was allowed £lO 10s costs and witnesses disbursements to be fixed bv the Clerk of Awards.
