A SUCCESSFUL INVENTION. FA NOTE, L/ on \~}. WATSON'S TATENT FENCE STANDARD. , ' This fence standard consists of :a strip of iron, steel or oth<?r material of a 'width approximately abouthalf the width of the standards at present in use. This will constitute a saving of material and this strip is reinforced to a greater degree of strength than the ordinary standard by twisting it helically? throughout its full length. The three! main points of this standard are : 'Simplicity 1 in construction : Economy in erection and .strength, its being stronger than , any ot her standardon the, market. Another important feature about the standard is owing to its screw formation, 8 inches in the ground is equivalent to 16 inches ,of any otheu standard now in use. Therefore, a 4ft standard constructed according to this invention take's the place of a 4ft. 6in ordinary standard, thereby saving six inches of material. : For gully fencing it has -no equal as it will grip the ground and does not require anchoring. It is just what the farmer want,s, and appreciation of it is shewn daily by the number of orders now in ha nd.. . Write for sample and prove it for yourself. Note the address—Watson Bros., engineers, Mayfair Sireet, Ricearton.' The standard lias been successfully patented throughout tlie world by ~nry Hughes, Patent Agents, Christchui'ch, (R. R.
