The Board appointed to rfepprt on 'the manufacture of ' copper and brass ' caps, cartridge-making and; coinage of silver and copper reports against the creatiion of a, Commonwealth mint, and recoinnieniia thab arrangements be mwd'e with existing mints at a ccet of £7500 lor plant, at an annual expenditure of £3500. Further, that caps should be made by the cartridge factory. The Colonial Ammunition Company is prepared to undertake the work free of cost if the -overnment grant an extension of its lease.
