NELSON, July 2. At the Supreme Court to-day' Geo. Bland, found guilty of theft of money from an hotel at MotU'ka, was sentenced to nine months. A boy, iix een years of age, charged with' cariiallv knowing a. girl ever 12, and under 16, pleaded guilty l and was ordered lo come up for sentence when called upon, h. : s father being requested to enter into recognition for future good behaviour. WELLINGTON, July 2. The hearing was commenced ai- the Supreme Court to-day of an a'ction in which Edward John Searl claims £IOOO from Thomas Patrick Lvor ß , a former partner, for sb-nder. Searl says that Lyons charged him with blackmail, with robbery in taking monevs belonging to the partnership, and not accounting, for same. Ihe case was not concluded. CHRISTCHURCH, Julv 2. Henry Janus Lilly and Robert "Crawford, who had pleaded guiltv to various charges of th-ft.s from warehorses, appeared before Mr Justice Denuisfon today, and were wmtenced to nine months' Jnjprß oniiK-nt each.
