GERALDINE STOCkTsALE. On account of the heavy rain for three days previous very few cheep were offered yesterday, not more than 1000 being penned. The prices realised were equal to those ruling at recent sales—24 fat lambs brought 15s 7d, 135 store lambs 10s 3d, 60 fab ewes, 12s 3d, 20 fat wethers, 17b 3d, 61 do. 15s 7d. ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. CHRISTCHURCH, .Inly 1. There were fair entries of stock but the attendance was limited on account of the wet weather. The. heavy rain was beneficial to the yards, giving the briek.s a thorough sluicing. Reef sold well, anil fat lambs were ateo very firm, and there was an improvement in store sheep. Pjg S . —Tiiere was a small yarding, and Hales were made at late rates. Choppers realised 60s to 695, large baconers 58s to 70s, light baconers and heavy porkers 40s to 50s, light porkers 32s to 355, large stores to 325,-medium to 21s, and weauers 8s to 12s.

DUNEDIX, July 1.

Cattle.—l4o were yarded. There was a good sale, but nothing of very good quality wa"s yarded. What was cold was rather an advance of late rates. Best bullocks £9 to £9 15s, extra to £lO 17s 6d, best heifers from £6 10s to £B, medium £4 10s to £5 10s, cows to £6 ss. Sheep.—2329 were yarded. Prices were much on a par with last week's rates, freezing buyers operating freely. Beet wethers 19s to 225, extra to 24s 9d, medium 17s to 18s 6d, light 15s ewes 15s to 17s, extra to 22s 6d. Fat lambs—--357 were yarded. Best sold at 15s to 16s, medium, and inferior showed a decline on late rates.

, Pigs.—7s of good quality were penned 'and sold at an advance on late rates, but inferior were dull of sale. Porkers and baconers werer*alsout id pound firmer. Suckers 10s to 14s, slips 16s to 19s 6d, .stores 23s to 30s, porkers 35s to 41s, light baconers 44s to-48s, heavy baconers. 53s to 625. . ~ DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKETS. Wheat.—The market continues exceedingly flat, and the prospect of an immediate improvement is not hy any means, bright. Quotations are nominal; prime milling 4s 4d to 4» sd, medium and whole fowl wheat 4s 2d to 4s 4d, broken and inferior 3s 4d-to 4s; ex store. Oats.—Business is confined to small lots for local consumption; shippers, show .no desire to operate, and lower prices than those- lately ruling, have to be accepted.
