Ihe cjisleis state that the Home was founded about three yeais ago and that they now have 90 souls under ( llicir care, of whom five-and-thirty aiv old people. The children are all either orphans or motherless, and very few of them aie paid for, either in whole or in part. 'Some have fathers living and some of these, but not many, contribute to the cost of keeping their children. . Children aie not taken at younger than two years and they are taught in the Home, until able to earn their own living at 16. No assistance is received from the local ' authorities; thel whole dependence is upon voluntary charity, and as the Home is ' available to 'all denominations! the appeal for financial help is made to all. 1" or this purpose two of the Sisters are I engaged nearly all the year round in touring the piovince as collectors, and hither- ■ to their appeals have been responded to with the satisfactory result that their large family has never wanted a meal. The present premises of the Nazareth Home on Ferry lload are rather too small as applications for admission have constantly to be refused, and a larger site has been secured in oyatnham, on which the Sister hope to be able to build a more commodious Home, some day. It is two years since a collectors' visit was made to this district and the Sisters will be pleased if they are", as generously treated as on the occasion of their visit two years ago.
