In connection with tlie Braybmok * inquiry, were made, in the presence of tli'- jury, of the Bendigo train, under conditions similar to the night of tl.accident. '• One t<nt of the full enurgency application brake was made 250 feet b • fore reaching the home signal, when ill;? train was travelling at 49£ mild- an hour. Fifteen wcondv after this application it reached the point of contact, ami \rn* .-til! travelling at 39 miles an hour, finally pulling up 132 feet past the point of impact.
