At the wool sales ithere is a strong demand, and s*_ animated sale. All crossbreds are 5 per cent, above opening' raites, and merinos occasionally show a similar advance. _
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cable advice from their London house in regard to the progress of the current series of wool sales :—" Sales gain firmness as they progress. As compared with last sales closing rates, prices are about 5 per cent, lower for crossbred lambs, greasy merino, super, and greasy crossbred; about 5 per cent-, to 7£d per cent, lower for scoured merino super., and about 10 per cent, to 15 per cent, lower for crossbred slipe."
