Koine thing new in the form of a preference clause is to b» included in tlm award of the hairdressers' -dispute now before the Arbitration Court by agreement between the parties. It provides that any permanent employee who, through the excessive use of alcohol shall appear at work not in :i condition to perform same may be suspended by his employer . for one week without payment or for such portion of it as the employer may deem fit. Any person so disqualified is further ineligible to accept work ekewbere during the period of suspension.
