At a fully attended meeting of local and suburban police held to-night the question of members joining the Public Service Superannuation Fund established last session was considered, and after a full discussion of the whole scheme, it was unanimously decided to vote to join the fund. HASTINGS, February 14. ■At the Magistrate Court Samuel Hill [alias Hogan) and Michael Regan (alias Hogan), both well-known to the police, were committed for trial at the Supreme Court on a charge of brutally assaulting a man named Frederick Fox bv kicking him and causing actual bodilv harm.
