An Austrian .■■named: Mate Boksich. about 35 years (if age, .was-found! dead in Albert Park this morning. ■He evidently committed suicide, a leather: belt being drawn ! tightly round- his neck, and he was hanging from the branch of .a tree. WAIROA, February 14. At the inquest on the body of Mr Fawcett, who was drowned in Morera hot swings, the evidence showed that the unfortunate man jumped from a hot into a cold pool ten feet deep. Witnesses said that death was due to shock. Deceased, who was about twenty-eight years of age, is a, native of Yorkshire. NELSON, February 14. The inquest concerning the Appleby fatality was resumed to-day, when the evidence of Margaret Fittall, a gM injured in the accident, was taken. She practically conoborated the statements of other eye witnesses. She first saw the tram approaching when the coach was about thirty yards from the crossing, and warned the 'driver, who attempted \o pull up. The inquest was further adjourned until such time as the coach-driver is able to give evidence.
DUNEDIN, February 14.
