Telegrams received from Stockholm suite that further information is being requested by the Sweedisli Club before sending an actual challenge, but it is state! the Swedes are wry much in earnest, and are already collecting money for the purpose of building the challenger. •Yachtsmen will welcome the Swedish challenge, and it.will be occepted if the conditions are those stipulated, but a race with the Swedes can never have the same popuku-itv that a contest with a British yacht would have, and regret is still expressed that the Lipton challenge did not go through.
