Per Press Association CHUISTCHURCH, December 4. Sheep: The entry was larger than for reveral weeks past, and there was a little better demand, forward, wethers being wanted chiefly. Prices were about the same as the "previous week. The entry of.fat lambs was rather larger than last week, and the quality was better. There was a fair demand for export, aucl prices remained without change. Tegs made 17s to 18s 9d. freezing weights 14s to 16s 9d, and unfinished lots lis- to 13s 6d. The entry of fat sheep was rather larger, and included some prime lines of wethers. Prices generally showed no change, the demand being entirely for local consumption. Extra prime wethers made 21s to 22s 3d, prime 18s to 20s 9d, lighter 16s to 17s 6d, prime ewes 16s 6d to 19?, medium 'l4s to 16s. and aged Ss to 13s 6d.

Cattle: 210 head ef, ueefnl fat cattle were penned. Steers sold at £9 ss, £9 Ice. £IC, £ll 5s to £ll lCs; heifers £5 17s 6d, £9 2s 6d. to £lO. cows £4 lCs to £B. calve-, sold at 4s 6il to 495.
