Mr William Scott, secretary of the Otago Employers ■■Association, has forwarded th« "following telegram to the MinisQter of Labour :—" The miurufactuiers are up in aims against the proposal to amend clause 15 of the Factories Act Amendment Bill by the Legislative Council, enforcing : weekly t'mploymenfc where granted by the Arbitration Court in a few awards. Both sides are now seeKing an amendment, as it has been found impossible in. manufacturing industries. The employers desire to know if there is any likelihood of the amendment being carried."
