FIRES.
Per Press Association. TE AROHA, Nov. 8. A four-roomed house occupied, by J. Maxwell was gutted by fire last night through, leaving a lighted candle in the children's room. Three children were nearly suffocated. The brigade'appeared promptly and saved most of the effects.
