are 455. At one time not so long ago either it was possible to turn out a man's suit of clothes tailor made for two pounds fifteen shillings and upward.. Thanks to labour laws, this sort of 4 ihino- is done away with for ever, and now it it is neither * possible nor expected to get a genuine tailor made suit for such a low figure. We can in common with all other clothing houses, make men's suits to measure of colonial tweeds or English worsted at 455, 50s. and 555. per suit, style and fit guaranteed but it must be understood that these suits are not made up in Tim am ; they are sent either to Ghristchurch or Dunedin to the large clothing, factories, and there made up. We 'assert it is impossidle for us or any other firm to produce genuine tailor made suits at the above prices. If a customer wants good fitting suit at a figure be-, tween 40s. and'6os. it can be supplied in a legitimate way, and that way is as we have pointed out—by sending the orders out to the factories. The customer who gives, such an order is-well served, and gets good value, but you must measure the difference between the factory made suit and the tailor made suit by the extra ■:. amount of money you pay" for the latter.
