Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 7. At the Presbyterian Assembly to-day the treasurer presented the annual statement, which showed that all the funds were in a most- satisfactory condition. It was stated that there was a large balance to the credit of.' the China Mission Fund, which would warrant the church making a forward movement in that direction. A discussion took place in reference to the bequest of £IOO left for the Presbyterian Orphanage, which it was proposed to pay to the Dunedin Presbyterian 'Or-' phanage unless the Assembly should otherwise determine. The Rev. G. Munro urged the claims of Auckland. Eventually it was decided to retain the lagacy on behalf of the Orphanage funds. The annual meeting of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union was held this afternoon, the Moderator of the General 'Aissemlbly presiding 1 . After it-lie annual report was read. Miss Cocking, late of Madagascar, gave particulars of conditions in that island. The Rev. G. H. McKeur, of Canton, described his labours and experiences there.
