The reply made by the Premier in the House of Representatives to tJie question drawing his attention to the grievances of railway employees was submitted yesterday to ievera-1 members of the railway :.t«'iY and some interesting rejoinders were made. The general impression seemed to prevail that "the Premier had failed to grasp the real position, and although- it nvmber of additional men were reen not one was found to snggt.Ht that there had been the slightest- exaggeration in the statement of the men previously published, sovoral re-marking " the case Tor th-e employees was put. most fairly, and the Premier's statement in the Ilouse is no reply at all to it."
