SAYING A CABGO. •LONDON, September 18. One hundred and fifty bales of .wool and skins, a, portion of the cargo cf the steamer Patroclus, which is stranded on the coast of Devon, have been landed, and forwarded to London. Large quantities of wheat have been jettisoned to relieve tho strain on the vc-ssel. The prospects of salvage improved as the cargo was discharged. COLLISION ON THE CLYDE. THE MAORI DAMAGED. Received 10.25 p.m., September 19th. LONDON, September 19. While engaged in trials on the Clyde the Maori, a new steamer, collided with the small steamer Kintyre which sank. The crew were saved The Maori's bows were dainaged. The Maori was insured for £IIO,OOO. including trial risks. The collison was the result of .misunderstood signals.
