IMMIGRATION DISCOURAGED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON/ September 19. The motion carried at-the-half-yearly meeting of the Hibernian Society's District Board at Auckland la;st month, that steps be taken to encourage Irish immigration was discussed at the quarterly meeting of the Wellington Society to-night. A resolution disapproving of.the- proposal was carried by a large majority.
