At noon, on Monday, a handsome girl of 18 interviewed the director of the Russian Steam Navigation 'Company at Odessa, and demanded on behalf of the anarchist committee that- the company's school should be better conducted, and the children fed as well as .educated.
When the director tried to ring a ball the girl threatened to throw a bomb, advising the terrified director to obey the anarchists' mandate.
The girl then left, threatening with a. revolver the porter who attempted to stop her. She then rejoined six armed males .outside and. escaped. AN UNFEELING- GRAND DUKE. Received 11 p.m., September 18th. . ST. PETERSBURG, September 18.
The Grand Duke Constantins, who has accepted membership of the Odessa branch of the Union of Russian people; gave audience to sh« leaders, even while merciless outrages - against , tlio Jews organised by the Union were proceeding.
