SKIX SALES. At the usual fortnightly sales held yesterday prices ranged as follows :—Skins'. Sound mouth ewes made lis 6d, wethers 20s itr, two-tooths 19s 6d, hoggets 20s 6d, 19s 6d, 18s 9d. 17s lid, 17s Id, 17s, 16s Bd. 16s 6d, 13s 9d, 13s 3d. 12s lOd. Fat lambs sold at 12s to 20s for smaller, and 22s to 303 for heavier weights. There tras a short supply of fat sheep. Extra rime wethens 35s to 3fs 6d, prime 25s > fetef-lighter 21s to 24s 6d, prime ewes •.s to* 25s 6d, others 13s 3d to ' 17s Id, rime merino wethers 19s to 24s 6d. Cattle.—The yarding of fat cattle totalled IS2 head. There was keen com- ' petition and values- improved abon t 2s 6d per ICO lb. Sheep. —2326 were penned, consisting principally of unfinished sorts with a fewpens cf prime quality. Prices for unfinished sheep were "from 2s to 2s 6d easier, but prime did not suffer any decline. Compared with last week prices were from 2Cs to 25s per head easier, but in comparison with former sales late values were realised. Pigs.—lCo were penned, of nice quality which met with good competition. .Suckers sold at up to 21.% porkers 3Gts to 475, baconers 49s to 80s. DUXEDIX GRATX MARKET. Wheat.—Owing to the advance in London the local market has firmed, showing a decided improvement on lata rates. There is not much wheat coining forward and millers are not very ready to bi:y at quotations. Prime milling 4s 3d to 4s 9d, medium and fowl fed 4s 6d to 4s 7d, broken and damaged 4s to 4s sd, ex store: sacks extra.
