The schooner Frank f»ny is making a long passage from Gisborne to Westport. She left on Angust. 25rd. The Union Company's Rosamond, which is due to-day from Greymonth, has a cargo of 263.C03 feet of timber, and a quantity of sleepers and fire bricks. The s.s. Toroa (Flonrinillers' Association, agents).- arrived from, Oamaru yesterday morning, and after shipping 80 tcr:s of milling proclnce sailed direct for Xapier. Th? Union Company'is s.s. Kini arrived at 6 a.m. yesterday with 43X00 fee.t of timber, and 500 tons of coal from Weetport. The cargo b consigned to J. Mnrdoeh and the Westport Coal Company. The- Union Company's s.s. Foherna arrived from Oamarn yesterday morning. She landed 112 tons of general cargo, and shipped abont 400 tons of produce for Lyttelton. Wellington, and tho West Coast, sailing late in the evening . The Wafhora. the Union Company's latest addition to it.' - carrying fleet, was due at Wellington yertTd.iy. ,She brings cargo from tb-y Tar East for Wellington. Lyttelton. Timarn. Dnnedin. and the Bluff. It is probable that her Timarr cargo—some SCO tors—will be tranship!>ed. and that she will discharge her Blnff cargo, 21C0 tons, b?fore arriving ?t Bunedin. as dnrtng h r -r stay at that nor* she will be fitted i?.p for takins: out hors-3? on the return trip to the East.
