Indian tea companies appear to have experienced a- prosperous year, selling prices and profits having increased, while the cost of production lias remained about the same. An exhaustive analysis has been issued setting" forth the position of fifty representative tea. companies, with a capital of over £11,000,000 sterling, which is, however, only about one-half of the entire cawital sunk in the industry.
