SENTENCES ON BURO LARS. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Augrnt 17. Before Mi' Justice Cooper, John Byron Hamilton, George Ferris, and William Robert, Sinclair, who were convicted .of burglariously entering the premises of Laerv and Co., and by means of dynamite breaking open a safe, were sent forward for sentence. Ferris and Sinclair had also pleaded guilty to two other charges of burglary, and . lamilton had also been found guilty of receiving an article which lie knew to" haw been stolen. His Honour, in passing .'■entence, said there was no doubt in hW mind that i'i prison*™ were very dangerous men. and the community would be°nnich safer for tluir conviction. For the otl'ence of breaking and entering I.aery and Co.'s premises and committing tile robbery, accused would <ach lie .:eu-t'.-nced to ten vears' imprisonment. Ferris and Sinclair wouhl be sentenced to five vears on each of the charges' to which thev had pleaded guilty. Hamilton would .also receive sentence on other charges. In effect Ihe punishment is fifteen vears for -each pri-oner.
