WaUerus v. .lohanmis WaUerus (Mr Walter Raymond). 'l'hU was an application by a "father, aged 82 yeats, to
take evidence under the Destitute Persons' Act. .J. Watlerus, the defendant, objected to ihn application being granted, on the around that he had three brothers, who had not ben cited. He stated that his father irw in leeeipt of the full old age pen-ion. and was living nt present with a married daughter in Chri.-tchurch at her request. His mother, from whom the father was separated, was a half-caste Maori, holding 23 acres, of land, and the- father was at liberty to again live with his wife. Defendant, was receiving 8s per day, and had a wife, three children, and two neices depending upon him. This concluded the evidence, which will be forwarded to Cbiixtchurch.
