Mails from United .States and Canada., via Vancouver, are expected in Timaru about 24th inst., and parcels from the United Slates, ex Indian Monarch, about 25th inst. The public are notified 'that cards ornamented with tinsel, mica, -powdered glass, or similar substances, are prohibited traiifimicsion through the post unless enclosed- in' covers. If riot so enclosed, they will be sent to the Dead Letter Office.
