THI-] KIA ORA' KUKVIYOfSy.. (Per Press Association.)^ • AUCKLAND, June 18. A further batch of Kia 'Ola survivors arrived to-day by the s.s. Muritai. They were Mr de Wolife, the chief officer; Mr J. Robinson, second officer; Mr E. L. Baggstrom, chief engineer; Mr J. Peterten, chief steward; Mr W. Johnson, cadetsteward; J. Decalmer, cooks boy; Miss Keller, the stewardess, and Mr Partridge, a passenger, who is suffering from a broken leg and broken rib. The latter was transferred' to the Riaiwva in' the afternoon, and left for his home at Eltliam via. New Plymouth. Mrs Cox, who is 76 years of age, was landed at Raglan. All bore signs of exposure. There, is still a doubt as to the number of pewons drowned. The chief steward states that there were 13 adults, a Maori boy and two children on bo;ird, besides 19 of the ship's crew-—a total of 35. He collected the tickets after leaving WaiIra. Only 31 have been accounted for. The stewardess! commends the fortitude and, forbearance of all, especially tlie women. A FALSE REPORT. AUCKLAND, June 18. The report of the' WoolaJira being as-hore on the west coast came through Mr George Niccol, ship-owner, who received his information by telegram from the master of one of the small steamers running in the locality- The Marine Department's information is that the report is incorrect. Evidently there was some blunder in the first message. DARGAVI'LLE, June 18. .Nothing i-i known here in reference to the- reported wreck of the barque Wo'olahra, and it is believed to ba a canard.
