Rabl.'its are neglected, and prices are nominal. New Zealand frozen mutton is unchanged. Lamb.—Canterbury light, 5-g-d ; medium, 5 7-16 d; heavy, sjd; Southland, North Island, New Zealand beef is unchanged: River Plate" sheep, heavy, 3|d; light 3|d; beef is unchanged. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Industries and Commerce has received the \ following cable message from tlie High Commissioner dated London. June 15tli: "Mutton.—The market is quiet, and trade for all classes is very slow, prices being barely maintained. There is a moderate supply of Canterbury mutton, which is being sold at- 4d. and North Island at 3|d : River Plate 3id. "Lamb—The market, is firm. There is a good demand for all classes of Canterbury brands at s§d; other brands than Canterbury. " Beef.—The market- is very firm and stocks of New Zealand on hand are light. Quotations are 4£d and 3-|d for hindquarters. and forequarters respectively. " Butter.—The market is firm, notwithstanding the large receipts!; choicest N<-W Zealand is quoted at 99s per cent; Siberian. 91s ; Danish 107s. « Cheese. —Tlie market is quiet, and prices nrc- likelv tr( go lower owing to the Canadian supplies increasini.
