At the adjourned " meeting of the Licensing Committee objections; were raised by counsel for'.ihe publicans to the Health Department being represented by counsel, but were over-ruled by.'.tlie chairman. Renewals were granted in the case of all applications adjourned . froin last week. Tlie committee, decided, not to father the objections of the Health Department, thp'ugh suggesting that certain sanitary improvements should be carried out. ■■'Counsel, protested strongly against •the action of the Department, as damaging to hotels of high standing. ~r,
