In the House of Lords Earl Bc-auchamp explained that under - the Laundry Bill convents containing inmates for reformatory .purposes were subject \o inspection when industrial work was: performed. A Bill providing for the qualification of women as members of county and borough councils wa.i read in the House- of Lords a second time by 111 to 33. The Welsh members are indignant, at Sir H. Campbell Bannermann's declaration that ther will lie no Welsh Disestablishment Bill until 1908. BILLS ADVANCKD. R reived 9/i7 p.m.. June 14th. LONDON, dune 14. The Factory and Workshop Bill was read a third time-"in the House' of Lords; and the Small Holding.'; Bill wu<: read a second time in the House of Commons.
