Froni this point the hare* made for the High School where tlu pap.r already laid formed the remainder or the trail home. All seemed very fresh when home was reached, and veiy prominent at the final sprint were Aylen, Mansford, Walsh and Myers. After very acceptable afternoon tea the deputy-captain (Aylen) who on -this occasion had' charge of the pack, returned thanks. He mentioned how much .the invitation was appreciated by members, this being now the second occasion on which the S.C.H. have been the- guests of the Pickwick Club. Mr Cidvei-house acknowledged the compliment. Three hearty cheers brought to a close one oil The most pleasant outings of the S.C.H. Members are requested to take note that the nexfc race "will probably be held- on 2?lh June from Saltwater Creek,, and that the invitation to 'the Waimate Harriers has been altered. They will now visit Timaru on Thursday next, June 6th, when in conjunction with the local Club they will be the guests of Mr J. Hole, from his residence. Maori Hill.

THE TRINITY HARRIERS. The weekly outing of the Trinity Harrier Club took place yesterday afternoon. The members were the guests of Rtv. T. Stinson, and there was a good ' mu.'.ter present. The v.-eather and condition of the- country were all in favour of crosscountry running, and the sport was greatly enjoyed by those taking part. This outing took the form of an open three and a half mile handicap, the course of which, it was decided recently, j-hould be the same a-s that run over last' year. Unfortunately, through some slight misunderstanding on the part of the paper-layer, the course put down by him .'-howed some diversion from'the on? originally fixed on. A start was made from the manse at 3.15, the ground gone over being via Saltwater Creek bridge, round the lagoon, and home by the Caledonian Grounds and . Catherine street. That some hard training must have bften indulged in of late, (was deinon>trated by the fine form shown yesterday, and the eagerness displayed to capture the coveted trophies, generously provided by wishers of the Club. The following wa; the order at '.-he finish : G. Mason (1.15), 25.15 1 J. Norrie ;ssec), 24.15 2 . M. Gould (lmin.), 26.30 3 J. Norrie, it will b-j seen, had fastest tiTrt<-. The Club are indebted r-n Mef.srs C. Glanville and A. FrasTr. for their valuable; assistance ;-'s handicapper, starter and timekeeper. Mrs Stinsoh -entertained all the members to afternoon tea, for where kindness Mr D. F. Glanville proposed a heartv vota of thanks.
