Next week a party of Government officers will investigate a scheme for draining and forking the auriferous drifts on.Koss Flat for the purpose of deciding the terms on which a subsidy will be payable. An Australian engineer, who recently investigated the proposition on behalf of Sydney capitalists, reports very favourably on the scheme, and the proposed method of eleciricallv working the plant. A very hopefid'Reeling exists as to the future of this important mining development. •
