A freshet in the. river -arly this morninn- cut- awar the sandpit where thschooner Eunice was stranded at tlie moud, of the river. .The vessel .swung broadsuL on to the river, and the ropes tlia vessel drifting- oat mto the bitaken., and half a nrile along the shore, and then teinjr piled up- Tlw deadwood of tin rudder and false keel were partly earned away. The other damage is unknown.
