Turnbull and Co., agents), completed discharging her cargo or coai yesterday, and sailed in the even l ing for Wellington and Wanganci, taking 250 tons of general cargo. COLLISION OFF TTRI. Per Press Association. AUCLAND, May 23. A collision occurred about two miles ami a half from Tin Tiri early yesterday morning between the barque Mauurewa, inward bound from Edithburg, and the local auxiliary scow Vindex. The latter had her mainmast carried away and the barque her maintopsaii yard, main-topgallant yard and head gear carried away. The scow came to Auckland under her oil engine, and the Ibarque was towed in to port- to-night. HOKITIKA. May 23. The s.s. Jane Douglas which grounded on •the south spit- 'this morning was towed off by the tug boat Westland this evening without sustaining damage. The schooner Eunice which also grounded is expected to float off to-morrow.
