Copyright.—May 17th, 9.42 p.m. ROME, May 17.
Signor .Tittoni, Minister for Foreign Affairs, speaking in the Chamber, said that whilst Italy adheres to the noble intentions inspiring Britain's proposal for a limitation of armaments, she agrees to the reserves made by Germany, Austria and Hungary as to the impossibility of immediate realisation, but Italy will participate in the Hague Convention, reserving the right to absolute freedom of action.
