The N-M. and A. iCoy. of N.Z., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale at Waihao Forks on Wednesday on account of Mr David Tavendale, of horses and_ implements, at which- there was a good attendance, and full prices were realised for r rj f. A The N-M. and A. Cor. of -S-6-, -IAO., report holding a clearing sale yesterday, on account of Mr S. Trevnrza, Rock,lands, Fairlie, of about 3500 sheep, horsss and implements, at which was a verv" good attendance and satisfactory prices were got for everything. The principal "sales ofisheep were as follows: —800 8-tooth f-bred ewes 16s, 1100 8-tooth 5 and if-bred ewes 14s 4d to 14s sd, 500 8-tooth ewes 12s, 750 8-tooth 5-bred ewes 12s 3d to 12s sd, 400 2-tooth cull wethers lis lid. CHRISTCHURCH PRICES. ATr C. R- Wilson, Tuam St., Christchxtrch, reports that there were large yardings and good sales last Saturday. FaL cockerels and ducks, rose in price. Following were the sales : —Turkey gobblers 15s to 20s; geese, slow of sale, 4s to 4 s 6d; fat ducks 4s to 5s 6d; smaller, 2s 6d to 3s 6d; fat cockerels, 4s 3d to 5s 9d; smaller, 2s 6d to 3s 3d; pullets, good early sorts 5s to 8s 6d; fat hens, 2s_ 3d to 3s 3d; special sorts, 3s 3d to 4s 3d; eggs, new laid were in keen demand at l«i lOd -to 2s Id; preserved are hard to place at Is to Is 2d.
