ATTEMPTED MURDER.

James Smithers, one of the principals hi the Moorhouse Avenue sensation on April sth, appeared at the Magistrate's .Qou.rfc this morning before Mr Y. <3. Day, &M., in answer to a charge of having attempted to murder Nellie Jackson." The; Chief Detective stated that Mrs Jackson was still 'unfit to attend at the Court. ' The accused when charged said "I don't remember anything about' it." He was remanded for a week. *
