WILSON'S SALEYARDS. C. R. Wilson, of Tuam street,. Christchurch, reports large yardings of poultry and eggs. Last Saturday about 3300 head of poultry i\ere yarded' and sold as follows.:—Fat cockerels 4s 3d to *6s 3d, good forward pullets 5s to Bs> fat hens 2s 3d to 3s, special sorts to 4s, ducks (fat) 5s 9d to 4s 6d. Eggs'—Large quantities are coming forward and the market is slightly easier; best biand*. Is 4d to Is sd, ordinary: Is 2d ti> Is 3d. TTMARU GRAIN REPORT. Wheat—Offerings have scarcely been so general during the the maiket, however, maintain* its film tone. Tuicoji and Velvet and Red, Chaff are quoted at 3{> 2£d. on trucks Thuaru; Velvet alone commands a fraction inore; seconds, 2s 9d; all sacks extra. . Oats—Southland oats now being on the market, have had the effect of largely curtailing shipping business. Values aie as follows:—Gartons 2s 6£d. Duns 25,7 d, Danish 2s 6d, on trucks Tiniaru. Potatoes—Australian potatoes are being landed at £4 !per > ton, considerable quantities, being brought in, but public offerings as yet aie spaise. Local values are—Dements £3 HK Up-to-Date £4; at stations. CLEARING SALE. The Ciinteibuiy Farmers" Cooperative Association. Limited, per, Mr J.. Hundeli, auctioneei, report liolciing a dealing sale of live stock and farm, implement, on account of Mr E. McKeiizie, at his homestead, clove to Temuk.i. yesteiday. Owing to Mr McKenzie's lease of the farm ua\ ing expired, stock and plant \\ ere for absolute side. There was : a very large attendance of buyers; the' stock was all shown in splendid condition and a- most satisfactory sale was the result.' The paucity of u heat offering' continues, and to some extent this- has had its effect upon the market, which is firmer for all descriptions of wheat. Tuscan and Pearl are now worth from 3s Id to 3s 2d. but Hunters have not improved to the same extent. Theie is an easier feeling in legard to oats, and any quant i!v offering would at.once depress values, but in the meantime late quotations vtaml as far as seed are .concerned.. Autumn sowing will be practically finished at the end of the month. Holders, having this in view, have eased their prices, especially for rvegiass: Italian, on the other hand, being in short' supply, has maintained it price.
