I suppose I had been sleeping fir about half an hour when I .suddenly jumpetl up, awakened by an unpleasant dre.uriV which was as follows ':'—l. dreamt I was iii, a countiy lane, when a motor car at full speed came dashing round the coiner and down the hill,-''-'where I was at the bottom. ■ t-'omeine was. just ciossing the lane; but I could nob properly sea whether it was ;i man, woman or child; but-the motor car .smashed into the objett and passed on, and I, to my horror, woke up. I related my dieam to- my wife, and most stiange to" ,say, exclaimel: 'Look here, I am just reading the part where a, motor car kills a child." I cannot understand this incident at all. I am prepared to swear that I had not seen inside the book which I had bon slit for m'r wife to read.
