A correspondent wrote to the }' Daily Mail" yesterday as follows : —Might la.sk if, any one of your leadeis can define tor me what telepathy really is' The folliwing incident; happened in my own housed last Sunday week: —My wife has been ill for some time, and is now rapidly reeoveiing. and we were both fitting in the rood in the afternoon, she reading ore of JN(iss Marie C'orelli's latest woiks. 'The Treasure of Hedven,' while I was dozing in an ami' chair. I suppose I had been sleeping fir about half an hour when I .suddenly jumpetl up, awakened by an unpleasant dre.uriV which was as follows ':'—l. dreamt I was iii, a countiy lane, when a motor car at full speed came dashing round the coiner and down the hill,-''-'where I was at the bottom. ■ t-'omeine was. just ciossing the lane; but I could nob properly sea whether it was ;i man, woman or child; but-the motor car .smashed into the objett and passed on, and I, to my horror, woke up. I related my dieam to- my wife, and most stiange to" ,say, exclaimel: 'Look here, I am just reading the part where a, motor car kills a child." I cannot understand this incident at all. I am prepared to swear that I had not seen inside the book which I had bon slit for m'r wife to read.
